Last year the Sioux Falls School District identified 820 children as homeless. As of November of this year, that number has already reached 600! Project Warm-Up, sponsored by the LHS Key Club and the generosity of many caring donors, provided 600 of those homeless children with a new fleece blanket during the holidays. We want to increase that number of blankets this year, but we need your help! The Key Club will be accepting donations of cash and/or fleece for the 2008 Project Warm-Up which will be held December 13th, 10:00 AM -5:00 PM at the Instructional Planning Center, 201 E 38th Street, Sioux Falls. If you would like to donate fleece please see sizes below: Infant size: 2 pieces of fleece measuring 1 1/4 yards each Child size: 2 pieces of fleece measuring 1 3/4 yards each High School/Adult size: 2 pieces of fleece measuring 2 yards each Checks can be made out to LHS Key Club or Project Warm-Up Donations can be dropped off at or mailed to two locations: Instructional Planning Center, 201 E 38th Street or Lincoln High School, 2900 S Cliff If you would like more information or your donation picked up, please contact Tracy Vik: 360-4858, tracy.vik@k12.sd.us or Brian Bechard: 367-7990, brian.bechard@k12.sd.us |
